Before the invention of fancy vacuum cupping, our ancestors used to quickly insert fire into a cup to create a natural vacuum suction and then placed the cup against an area on pain or tension. It creates a suction effect on the skin which helps to decompress soft tissues and bring blood flow to areas that need it. It can also aid in healing of internal organs by improving digestion and lung health. It has also been known to improve varicose veins when applied not directly over, but next to them.
This is a popular practice among athletes. Please note that its normal for cupping therapy to leave marks!
Try heart cupping with your session!
*Do not do cupping if you are anemic, have diabetes 1, hemophilia, aneurisms, deep vein thrombosis, cancer, take blood thinners, or have heart, liver, or kidney dysfunction.
