The Tune up Massage (Light to medium):

60 Minute: $99 90 Minute: $139 120 Minute: $159

This is a great place to start for full body relaxation or working on multiple areas of tension. Choose a couple basic add Ons, if you would like, on the house. Or let your therapist recommend some for you. Light to medium pressure.

Neuromuscular Therapy (Deep):

60 Minute: $125

This is the one massage that we intermittently use deep tissue techniques in. Do you have that one trouble spot that’s really getting on your nerves? One hour per area of concern is generally needed to seek out primary knots/trigger points, as well as their “satellites” in order to deactivate the chain of tension. This is not a full body deep tissue massage, though the entire body, including posture and gait, is assessed to see what may be contributing to the issue.

The Microcurrent Massage/ Deep Tissue Substitute:

30 Minute: 65$ 60 Minute: $99 90 Minute: $139 120 Minute: $159

Light to medium hands on pressure. While deep tissue techniques forcefully draw ATP rich blood to stubborn muscles knots, we have developed a system that equally increases ATP in muscles without force. Through microcurrent technology and circulation stimulating techniques. This way, the entire body benefits, not just one specific spot! I attach a microcurrent machine to my body, and the electric impulse travels through my skin and into yours. Microcurrent cannot be felt physically, but it deeply affects the body's ability to heal itself. This is a method to restore ATP into knotted muscles, allowing them to unlatch. This is great for post-surgery/injury, or anyone who wants the effects of deep tissue without the discomfort. We may also use hot and cold contrast therapy on painful muscles.

Scratch Therapy & Body Brushing Relaxation:

Tools: Fingernail extenders, Body Brushing

FAQ

The deeper the better right? Is deep tissue right for me?

We see it in every modern spa “Full Body Deep Tissue Massage” and yet nearly every neuromuscular massage therapist refuses to do this kind of service. Why? Deep tissue creates an inflammation response. Which is great sometimes for initiating healing in certain muscles, but full body inflammation? No thanks. That’s why you feel sore, tired, or even sick after a full body deep tissue massage. The point of deep tissue is to blanche/ squeeze a muscle so that new blood rushes into it. This subtly damages and inflames the muscle in the process. If a part of your body is very tender to light touch, it likely means that it is already inflamed. Which means that deep tissue will only exacerbate it.

What is a muscle knot?

Simply- A way for the body to protect you from injury or conserve energy

Knots aren’t always a bad thing. Knots become a painful problem when they enter a negative feedback loop. A muscle knot exists in the absence of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) or in other words- cellular energy. The body recognizes when your energy reserves are low and causes your muscle fibers to latch together in order to help the body stay upright. This may happen also, when the body recognizes a need to protect your joints or reduce the weight bearing on an injury. Tension can be a useful function of the body, but when this tension goes on too long, the muscle gets chronically squeezed off from ATP rich blood flow, triggering it to tense even up further. Knots that “crunch” are often an example of negative feedback loops. Increasing ATP in the muscle overall depends heavily on diet, sleep, stress reduction, and exercise.
